Competition was in the following classes: 1) Cattle, 2) Horses, 3) Sheep, swine, poultry, 4) Plowing, implements, machinery, 5) Dairy, produce, grains, and vegetables, 6) Household manufactures of the present year, 7) Textile and other goods of American manufacture 8) Fine arts, 9) Fruit, flowers, and native wine, 10) Farms and reclaimed lands, and field crops. Volume 8 has the Fruit, flowers, etc. label on the exterior, but those records appear to be in Volume 9, which is not labeled.
